Well, Blair will soon sign away all our hopes for the future without giving us the democratic right to a referendum.

The other two main parties would do the same, because they all want to become MEPs and retire on fat pensions.

Its time we had real democracy in this country, if I were younger I would emigrate – the democracy has gone, that is why the public won’t vote at elections, they’re tired of politicians and politics, they’ve lost all faith.

It saddens me to think that we fought two world wars for nothing.

This was the first local country-wide election where UKIP was reasonably well represented and in total we achieved 200 000 votes from the electorate, this being double the votes achieved in any
