ABOUT US
Our mission is to regain democracy for Britain through self-rule by the British Parliament. To achieve this objective Britain needs to be politically and financially impendent of the European Union.
Our membership is growing on daily basis as more and more people realise that the European Union is the biggest political disaster that Britain has ever been involved with. The cost to the British nation now exceeds 50 billion pounds per year, a financial burden that we just cannot bear.
Our influence now extends beyond Thanet; we have recently had holidaymakers from Germany visit our Head Office and express the very same feelings about the lack of democracy in Germany brought about by the European Union. We also have members in Cyprus who have joined recently and they provide us with access to the staff and families at the Ministry of Defence and the armed services personnel in Cyprus. As and when the numbers grow in Cyprus they will in turn set up their Ukip group. This gives Ukip access to a large number of ex-patriot voters who we are given to understand are also rather disillusioned with our three major parties.
Ukipthanet incorporates Ukip North Thanet and Ukip South Thanet and has its headquarters in King Street, Ramsgate. We are a politically active, cheerful bunch who welcomes you to our events and meetings. Your comments and input to our quest for freedom will be most gratefully received and given due consideration.
