I thought it about time I mentioned some of the local events coming up in Margate.
For those of you who don’t know already I, Trevor Cooper, have been involved with a couple of projects in Margate’s Dane Valley.
Firstly The Windmill Community Allotment Project (WCAP). After a busy summer the WCAP returns to normal. That means you can visit the site Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10.00 and 4.00. Fridays is 2pm closing. Tuesdays have been a particularly good day to visit as volunteers sample some of the produce grown.
This October the project will be carving pumpkins for Halloween this will be sometime in the last week of October so please come along.
Secondly Dane Valley Woods (DVW) has just had its AGM and the next work party will be Saturday 29th September. They will be clearing scrub so look out for them from 12.00 onwards till about 4pm.
