We all know that the council has had a consultation about Margate’s Dreamland and the Arlington shopping arcade. We know that there will be housing on part of the dreamland car park and that housing has been knocked down for the relief road. I’m not saying anything new that the people of Thanet will be able to change. All I want to do is share a few ideas with people and see what you think.

Firstly
The future of our Scenic Railway! Has anyone been to Blackpool Tower and walked across the glass floor? Apparently it is extremely scary. What if, when and if the railway is repaired, a glass track was put in the missing sections given the illusion that the track was missing and as the train is heading towards certain doom. You know a floor is there but you eyes tell you that there isn’t; wouldn’t you find your heart pumping and your mind playing tricks could this give you a little extra thrill? Could the illusion be pulled off?

Secondly
The Shopping Centre knock it down and put in a green and lovely park for families to sit and enjoy. It would also be the gateway into the new Dreamland site. Get the environment right and people will come in there droves. Bournemouth has a beautiful park in it’s centre, Bath has Victoria Park and it’s botanical gardens. Open your eyes and dreams to the possibilities of Margate.
