I am not a number!

NO2ID is a single-issue pressure group established with the aim of stopping the government from introducing compulsory Identity Cards with a National Identity Register. (NIR) the vast database necessary to make the cards work.

The principle of an identify card is not the problem. I am for a card that would provide a photo to name; DOB; and blood group for all these would help either business, clubs and NHS but what I don’t agree with is the mass database holding details of everyone.

I believe in the principle that all people should be free from coercive force. Free to chose their own paths and destiny. The point worth repeating, Free From Coercive Force. Is Government, Civil Service the EU not potentially Coercive and Corrupt?

Another Database mentioned on the news recently was the DNA Data Base, should the Police hold details of all in the UK? It wouldn’t be held on an identity chip on a card for people to defraud, but would it criminalize all honest citizens?
