Recession Solutions
Yes it is official this country is officially in a recession. But what are the solutions?
The government loaned Northern Rock (NR) £26 billion pounds to save them and what do they do to help they evict home owners who are in arrears and with the money they made from peoples misery they had the cheek to give themselves a £9million bonus or £50 million over five years. It achieved very little.
So what would I do?
Ok if official population figures are 60million (60 975 000 according to Nat Stat on line) and 60% are working homeowners or rent payers. Then 60% of 60m = 36million people earning. If that £26b given to NR was shared equally among the employed as a voucher to be paid off against mortgages/rents then every one would have received about £722. NR was not the only bank to receive help so in theory the employed could have received three times the £722 = £2166. The banks and building societies would have then received these vouchers which helping both the well managed banks as well as the less responsible give people more spending money and getting the county back on its feet.
Alas the good working people are still no better off because then money hasn’t gone to those who deserve it.
So what solutions do you propose?
