THANET UNDER THREAT
EVENT Film Show, Thanet Under Threat.
Saturday November 10th at 7.30 at the Granville Theatre.
This film shows the green spaces, parks and playing field at risk in our area. The film features interviews with residents, experts, and local politicians. “They’re building everywhere-including the seafront!” says one interviewee. What can we do to save our island?
This advert was given to me Trevor Cooper at the Westgate and Westbrook Residents Association prize evening the other day unfortunately Iwill be unable to see the film. If anyone can give me feedback on the film I would love to hear from you.

There was another showing of the film in Broadstairs 12.00 today with another showing tomorrow 9th December 5pm at the Palace Cinema. A public meeting is to be held on the 13th at 7.30 at Red Hall 11 Grosvenor Road, Broadstairs. Friends of the Host.

It is so surprising that more people have not logged on to this subject. My wife and I moved to Thanet some ten years ago so that we could enjoy our retirement in a very pleasant environment, but, progressively over those ten years,Thanet has
been subjected to untold destruction in the form of new housing
and shopping developments, with many new sites being established.
The unfortunate thing resulting from these developments is the loss of so many ‘green’ areas within Thanet, yes, our green and pleasant land is being destroyed because greed has
taken over. It is a very state of affairs.
