What The Papers Say (In Thanet)
I have heard on occasions some UKIP members saying the local papers never print their letters when the use the term UKIP. Sorry friends I can’t always agree.
So I salute Adscene for printing the letter by Roger Arnold, UKIP, Herne Bay.
Roger refers to an Adrian Ottley letter in the Adscene 21 June 2007. Titled Bowing out of the EU.
He and others might like to know the following is just one example of where British taxpayers money is consistently going. Between 2007 and 2013 the EU is handing out £213 billion of free money mostly to the new member countries under regional support programmes. As Britain is one of the biggest contributors to the European Union’s annual budget most of that money will be from British taxpayers.
New EU member Poland will now replace Spain as the largest recipient of free money from Brussels. Spain having been given £60 billion in financial aid so far in it’s 20 year membership of the EU.
While Britain is taxed more and more the rest of Europe laughs all the way to the bank with our money!
So Britain I say again wake up and see what is happening.
Small note to consider; I like the idea of assisting fellow countries European, Common Wealth or any country in need, but I ask myself can the money that’s been taken really be going to help other nations or is it just one big bureaucratic con?
