Windssve Investigated
Hello All
You Should be aware that UKIP will pursue nuclear power as a solution to the impending lights off UK wide when our power consumption becomes larger than our ability to supply. Current estimates 2015/2016ish. You should be aware that I Trevor Cooper am against Nuclear in principle. However here are some facts.
1. On a which investigation into Windsave turbine carried out on trial house, the turbine, which cost less than £2000, actually cost money to run apparently the reason was given that average wind speeds in the area under test were too low. So my belief in turbines on the roof in fact are not yet a viable solution. I still believe than can be but industry are not prepared to hand over power to the people and are therefore obstructing free energy development.
2. An extract from the Telegraph web site:
The construction industry failed miserably to deliver power plant on time and budget. Design changes bedevilled projects with Dungeness B taking the booby prize for the most disastrous. Engineers ended their careers on a plant that started in 1965, was completed in 1983 and struggled to make its first contribution to the electricity market in 1985.
Botched decisions on nuclear waste disposal and the frightening cost of de-commissioning (£72bn at the last count) have left nuclear power under a cloud while mismanagement, market pressures and the complications of electricity pricing mechanisms meant the taxpayer had to save British Energy from bankruptcy three years ago at a cost of £3bn. writen May 2007.
So my fears that Industrial incompetence will lead to disaster for this country are not unfounded. T
